Lavender Love - White...With 1 March Challenge

Hi Blog Readers,
Tonight I am sharing with you a layout that I created for the White...with 1 challenge.
Those that know me well would know that this colour challenge is right up my alley.  My front garden is full of several varieties of lavender of various shades of purple, my scrapbooking room is full of pale purples (and pinks) and the colour scheme at my wedding was also purple. I ran short of daylight for taking the photos so the photos aren't as good as they could be but here it is...

Materials used include some older papers from my stash (Chatterbox and Making Memories) combined with some newer Maja Design and Kaisercraft Coconut cardstock.  The flowers are Little Birdie, Passtime Crafts (with added buttons) and some awesome E-bay scores. The stamps are by Prima and Kaisercraft and the background stencil and dies are also Kaisercraft.  The flairs are by the Funky Flair Studio.

Thanks for looking. Until next time...

Finally posting a Finish it Friday page

Today I wanted to briefly share some progress I have made with finishing some projects recently.  One of the things I am really not so good at is journalling so I decided to have a bit of a blitz and completed the journalling on several pages. I also completed a half finished layout featured below. The paper range is Telegraph Rd by Kaisercraft. It is an absolute favourite of mine!! Excuse the not so great photos this post is all about sharing my progress with finishing things rather than taking fabulous photos of my layouts.

AFTER

I've been painting some furniture lately so hopefully will be able to share some of these projects soon. What projects have you finished up this week?

Strawberry Sensation - Funky Flair Studio March Challenge

Hi All,

Today I'm sharing with you a layout that I complete for the Funky Flair Studio March challenge. Here is the gorgeous mood board for this month.

I was super excited to come across Webster's Pages - Strawberry Fields in my paper stash - a PERFECT starting point for this challenge. I combined a piece from this collection with papers from Kaisercraft (Miss Nelly, Telegraph Rd, Basecoat), Glitz Design (Cashmere Dame  (I miss this brand)), Prima (Rosarian) and a random green piece. A Prima stencil was used with homemade texture paste to add some  interest to the background. I also used the Kaisercraft Bricks die, flowers and embellishments from E-bay, buttons from my grandma's collection and off course two Funky Flairs.

A few close ups...

Until next time...

Pretty in Pink: Funky Flairs Studios February Challenge

I'm back again to share my creation for Funky Flair Studio February challenge. Flairs can be purchased from their web store and you can join in the fun here.

The challenge has been extended until March 8th so you still have some time to play along.

I was so delighted when I saw the colour palate for this challenge and straight away knew which photos I wanted to use.

And here is my creation:

My supplies list includes:
  • Papers: Kaisercraft Bonjour (an old favorite!!) and Base Coat plus some other scraps from my stash.
  • Flowers: Kaisercraft, Prima, E-bay and my general stash
  • Stencils: Tim Holtz (crackle) and Kaisercraft (Floral Quarters)
  • Dies: Spellbinders (Venetian Accents) and Kaisercraft (Stained Glass, Fancy Charm, Vintage Clocks and Birdcage Vine)
  • Kaisercraft Captured Moments Cards - Pretty Little Things and Sparkle
  • Other: Paper napkins, various metal embellishments, tulle, twin, lace and gems.
  • And of course a Funky Flair which I coloured pale pink with a Sharpie.
Now for some close ups of the details:

A new months means new challenges are being released so the wheels in my head are turning ready for more creative fun.
