What more could I ask for? - 123 July Challenge

Hi All,

I am sneaking in one last layout for the month which I manged to finish off this evening.  This time it is for the 123 Challenge Blog.
Pastels and glitter!? - What more could I ask for in a challenge?  As for the word 'priceless' I used a photo from my wedding that I thought captured a priceless moment and used the word in my journalling.

Here is my layout and close up of the embellishments. The glitter doesn't show up very well in the photos but in on the puffy stickers and large gold and ivory flower.

Products Used:
Papers - Bo Bunny (Soiree), Prima (Songbird) and My Mind's Eye (Lost and Found Market Street)
Die: Kaisercraft Stitched Hexagons (A new favourite)
Flair: Funky Flair Studio
Flowers: Prima and Ebay
Other: Tulle, Lace, Ribbon, Pearls, Gelatos, Distress Ink.

Well that wraps things up for the month. I did have another two layouts started but unfortunately I wasn't able to get to them.  Still I surpassed my goal of three challenges so I'm happy with myself.

Thanks for looking.  See you next month.

Stop and Smell the Roses - Scrap the Girls July Challenge

Hi All,

I'm sharing my FOURTH challenge for this month (whoot I surpassed my goal to complete three this month!!). This challenge was for Scrap the Girls using this fun sketch.
For my layout I rotated the sketch by 180 degrees as I thought my photo looked better placed on the right hand side of the page.  I just purchased the gorgeous Decorative Doily die by Kaisercraft and was itching to use it in a project so have used die cut doilies in the place of circles (Kaisercraft, Couture Creations and Spellbinders dies).  I added a third doily near the photo to give more visual weight to this area and because I love patterned paper I snuck in an extra few layers.  As the background paper already had a lot of interest I didn't include the embellishment cluster at the bottom of the sketch.

I was so happy to finally use some papers by Webster's Designs (Sunday Picnic) which have been in my stash for quite some time waiting for the right photo.  I added in some paper by Bo Bunny (Prairie Chic) and My Minds Eye (Kate & co.).  The hessian embellishments are by The Craft Stall, flair by Funky Flair Studio, pearls by Kaisercraft and the little bird was purchased off e-bay.

Thanks again for looking at my layout. I love being able to share my work with friends, family and other scrapbookers as well as draw inspiration from the work of others.

Until next time...

Take Me To The Ocean - Scrap the Boys July Challange

Hello,

Well I have just completed my 3rd challenge this month, this time for Scrap the Boys.

What a wonderful theme to warm us up during these chilly winter days.  My friend gave me permission to use a beautiful photo of her little boy at the beach for this challenge. I had a great time experimenting with using a plastic bag to apply Twinkling H2Os for my background. I then sprayed on some water to take some colour off in places and added some subtle stamping with a Kaisercraft wood grain stamp and Lagoon Ink.   I also used gesso, muslin, hessian and glitter embossing powders to add some texture to the page to try to give the impression of sand and foam from the waves. The Kaisercraft circle mesh die and sequins were used as they reminded me of bubbles and water.  The papers, die cuts and wood veneers are all from the Kaisercraft Costal Escape Range.  Now for my page...

And a few close ups of the details:

Thanks for looking.  So happy to have met my goal of three challenges this month and think I may have time to squeeze in another one or two.

Rustic Charm - D'lish Scraps July Challenge

Hi,

Back again to share my second challenge for July. This time using the D'lish Scraps mood board.

As soon as I saw this I knew exactly which paper range I wanted to use as well as the photograph but needed to wait patiently for my Just Add Paper Kit to arrive.  I was so delighted to receive this kit and am already eagerly awaiting the August edition. To create my page I used a number of goodies from the kit combined with papers from Kaisercraft (Always and Forever, Ma Cherie), Collectables (Always and Forever) and the Kaisercraft script template with gesso.  I loosely followed the sketch and drew inspirations from the roses, tassels and lace on the mood board.  First for some close ups of the pretty embellishments:

And now for the full layout:

Thanks for looking and for those that leave comments on my work.  Onto creating for the next challenge, so many great ones this month :)

Kraft+ July Challenge -

Hi All,

I thought I would give the Kraft+ challenge a go this month. The criteria is to use Kraft paper and sheet music.  This pretty mood board was provided for inspiration.

As I pondered what I had in my collection with music notes on it, my eyes fell on a piece of paper from Kaisercraft's Kaleidoscope range.  Perfect!! I also took inspiration from the heat, feathers and ampersand in the top right image. First for some close ups:

Now for the full layout:

Product used include:
Kaisercraft: Kaleidoscope Papers and Die Cuts, Chevron Template, Decorative Dies Lattice and Stitched Hexagons
Ranger: Texture Paste and Picked Raspberry Distress stain
Funky Flair Studio: Die Cut Heart and gold foil music and feather flairs
The Craft Stall: Rosettes and Chipboard Words
Sequins and doily.

Thanks for looking.  Onto my next challenge, aiming to complete 3 this month!
